Aimco, through a wholly-owned subsidiary, is the general partner and directly is the special limited partner of Aimco OP L.P. The consolidated financial statements reflect our historical consolidated financial position, results of operations, and cash flows in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles in the United States (“GAAP”). The historical financial statements of Aimco do not represent the financial position and results of operations of one legal entity, but rather a combination of entities under common control that have been “carved out” from Aimco Predecessor’s financial statements.
