Commerce Bancshares Inc (NASDAQ: CBSH) is a bank holding company that operates commercial banking, consumer banking, and wealth management businesses across the central United States. It earns revenue primarily through net interest income on loans and deposits, and through fee-based services including commercial payments and wealth management. As of December 31, 2025, the Company held $32.9 billion in consolidated assets, $17.8 billion in loans, $25.6 billion in deposits, and $3.8 billion in equity, ranking it among the top 50 U.S. bank holding companies by asset size. Its 140 branch facilities serve markets primarily in Missouri, Kansas, and central Illinois, with additional presence in Oklahoma, Colorado, and several other states. St. Louis and Kansas City are its two largest markets. On January 1, 2026, the Company completed the acquisition of FineMark Holdings, Inc. in an all-stock transaction, issuing 9.9 million shares and adding 13 FineMark branch locations.
