Marine Products Corp (NYSE: MPX) is a recreational boat manufacturing company that designs and sells fiberglass motorized powerboats under two brands, Chaparral and Robalo. Revenue comes entirely from transactional boat sales to a network of independent authorized dealers, who in turn sell to end consumers. Marine Products was incorporated in Delaware on August 31, 2000, and became an independent public company on February 28, 2001, following a spin-off from RPC, Inc. (NYSE: RES). Manufacturing operations are based in Nashville, Georgia, where Chaparral has operated since 1976. The Chaparral brand, founded in 1965 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, covers sterndrive and outboard sport boats. The Robalo brand covers outboard sport fishing boats. As of the 10-K filed February 27, 2026, the dealer network consisted of 192 domestic and 84 international independent authorized dealers. The company sells into the pleasure boat and sport fishing boat markets, both of which are discretionary consumer end markets sensitive to consumer confidence and financing conditions.
